Matt Maupin, Associate
Matt Maupin is a Hill Country native from Kerrville, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Government and another in Rhetoric and Writing, where he developed strong analytical and communication skills that serve him well in his legal practice. After his undergraduate studies, Mr. Maupin attended Baylor School of Law, where he completed a Professional Track in Business Litigation, preparing him for complicated and diverse commercial lawsuits. While in law school, Mr. Maupin also received the prestigious Bob and Karen Wortham “Mad Dog” award, naming him one of the top trial advocates in his class. Before joining Gonzalez, Chiscano, Angulo & Kasson, Mr. Maupin was selected to be the youngest intern for the Texas Lieutenant Governor’s General Counsel Office and worked at a political consulting and fundraising firm.
Mr. Maupin clerked with the firm in the Summer of 2021 and returned as an associate attorney upon his graduation and licensing. With experience in a wide variety of matters, including Commercial Litigation, Insurance Coverage and Defense, Medical Malpractice, Partnership Disputes, and Construction Litigation, Mr. Maupin serves both the Hill Country and San Antonio areas, ready to take on any of his client’s litigation needs.
