Richard J. Kasson & N. Taylor Williams secured defense verdict for interventional cardiology group
Richard J. Kasson and N. Taylor Williams secured a defense verdict on behalf of our clients, an interventional cardiologist and his practice group, in a complicated medical malpractice case in which Plaintiffs alleged that the death of their father was the result of a misplaced stent during a cardiac catherization procedure and failure to timely and appropriately address complications caused by the alleged misplaced stent. They asked the jury to award more than $3.4 million in damages against our clients. The seven-day trial involved expert testimony from leading interventional cardiology and pulmonology physicians from across the State of Texas and a forensic pathologist expert from Colorado. After deliberating for less than 4 hours, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of our clients.
